The boys’ basketball from Naperville North will take on Metea Valley in a DVC battle in which the Huskies take their second Conference victory. This highlight is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.

The conference game continues as we take to the seats for a DVC fight on Mill Street. Naperville North Boys Basketball comes in to the contest winner by four straight and eyeing the second win in the division. They face Metea Valley, who are still looking for their first Conference win of the season.

First quarter

Huskies get aggressive early on. Zeke Williams gets part of this recording that falls into the hands of Bryce Welch. He takes it from coast to coast, eager to give his team a 6-2 lead.

The defensive activity continues. Welch distracts the pass and Williams quickly puts him in the lead for the second time in two. He had 10 points.

The Huskies bring it to the wing and Cole Arl finds Luke Williams in the paint. He is able to get the tough finish underneath and it stands 16-2.

Time flies in the first moment when Arl leaves it to Charlie Farrell, who hits the buzzer with a friendly jump. 23-7 north after the period.

Second quarter

Zeke Williams is here in the second quarter. He tears that ball away and brings it to the edge to expand the lead to 23.

Metea tries to get the offensive rolling. Quentin Schaffer kicks Jake Nosek, who knocks over the third corner. Huskies still have a big lead at halftime with 40:14.

Third quarter

Third quarter and the Mustangs still have some struggle. Jahki Gray finds Nick Schroeder, who drills him from the depths. You’re still behind by 6pm.

That night was just too much north. Jack Torcasio finds Zeke Williams in the alley and gets the tire and damage. 23 points in the night for Zeke.

The Huskies’ second top scorer was his brother Luke. Welch drives in with a nice stop and go and leaves it to Luke Williams, who puts it in. North takes his second Conference win 64-38 over Metea Valley.
