Richard Lundeen Obituary (1937 – 2021) – Naperville, IL

Richard Allen Lundeen, 84, of Naperville Illinois died on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was born on September 12, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Ruth (Giesler) and Bjorn Lundeen. Beloved husband of Joyce (Scerbicke), dear father of Robert (Robin Brisart) Lundeen, Steven (Suzy James) Lundeen, Linda Kreger, Cheri Armstrong. Distinguished grandfather of Robert, Matt, Megan and Hannah Lundeen, Bryan and Danny Kreger, Dawn and Janell Armstrong. Great grandfather of Rylie, Liam and Cole. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris Lundeen. Richard grew up in Chicago, where he lived until he joined the army. In 1958 he married Joyce, the love of his life. In 1975 they moved to Naperville Illinois together, where they raised their children. Richard worked in the telecommunications industry for 35 years before retiring in 1990. After his retirement he opened his own computer consultancy “Easytec” and helped many companies in the Chicago area. Richard was a proud citizen of Naperville and enjoyed attending community events. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, producer for NCTV, advisor to SBA, sponsored SCORE and participated in Naperville’s CERT activities. The family will have a service at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
