Allen Robinson and Eddie Jackson for the Ravens game originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
Bad injury news from the Bears got worse on Sunday. The team announced 90 minutes before their Week 11 game with the Ravens that both Eddie Jackson and Allen Robinson would miss the game with hamstring injuries.
Robinson missed all three days of Bears training and was officially “doubtful” on his way to the weekend, so his inactive naming is not surprising. However, Jackson had limited exercise on Thursday and Friday and was officially “in question” so there were reasonable grounds to believe that he might have been able to get dressed.
Earlier this week, the Bears announced that Akiem Hicks would also miss the game with an ankle injury. He also struggled with a groin injury that practically kept him out of three full games.
But the biggest blow of all was the news on Friday that Khalil Mack would have end-of-season foot surgery next week. Mack had had a great season, with six sacks in seven games. He and Robert Quinn had formed the league’s scariest pass rush, but now Quinn, Trevis Gipson and newcomers Cassius Marsh and Bruce Irvin must catch up.
