Texas Roadhouse Coming To Aurora From Naperville In 2022

AURORA, IL – Another restaurant will soon be home to Route 59 in Aurora. Texas Roadhouse is moving from Naperville and is claiming the property of a former Sweet Tomatoes restaurant, according to city officials.

The Steakhouse, which specializes in Texas and Southwestern cuisine, will occupy Property 986 N. Route 59. Former owner Sweet Tomatoes, known for its all-you-can-eat buffets, closed in October 2016 after parent company Garden Fresh Restaurant. The company has filed for bankruptcy under a restructuring plan, Patch reported.

Upon opening, the Aurora location will replace the Naperville location located on North Aurora Road at 2856 Patriots Lane. Once the building is vacant, the building, constructed in 2006, will go on sale for $ 5 million, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The facility also has other locations in Chicagoland, including Joliet, Tinley Park, and Mt. Prospect. With approximately 600 locations in 49 states, Texas Roadhouse offers a wide variety of dishes from hand-cut steaks and ribs to salads, burgers and specialty chicken.
