On May 26, 2022, the Good Lord called his son, Richard Vere Daniels, home. He passed away in the presence of his wonderful wife and three daughters.
Richard was born March 20, 1941, in Malad, Idaho, son of Rita S. (nee Stevenson) and Ralph V. Daniels.
Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (nee Bell), of Naperville who he married on July 12, 1969, in Boise, Idaho at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Cathedral. Dear father of: Andrea (Daniel) Herring, Munster, Indiana; Erin (Dennis) Nobles, Evansville, Indiana, and Rebecca (Brian) Ulaszek of Westminster, Colorado. Grandfather of, Kinsley and Ashlyn Nobles, and Emma and Ethan Herring. Brother of, Susan Spencer and Janna (Gary) Haynie. Dick was also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, sister JoLynn, sister-in-laws Leslie Bell and Janet Shellworth.
He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, watching his grandchildren’s soccer and baseball games, walking with friends, and talking to his family, frequently, on the phone. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his dear wife.
Dick grew up in Payson, Utah and enjoyed skiing. He graduated from Utah State in 1967 following his service in the US Coast Guard. He was proud to have served.
Dick was a lively spirit, always joking with family and friends. He knew how to light up a room with his quick wit, always able to lift the spirits of those around. All who knew him will miss him dearly.

Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM with a Service at 3:30 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N West St, Wheaton, IL 60187. For more information please call 630-355-0213.
