James Dudley Obituary (2022) – Naperville, IL

James Emory Dudley, age 90, passed away peacefully June 20, 2022 at Alden Nursing Home in Naprville, IL. He was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin and moved to Naperville in 1945. He graduated from Naperville High School and then DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. After serving in the United States Air Force, he worked for Illinois Bell Telephone, Co in Maywood, La Grange and Chicago, Illinois. Over the years he was the President of the Rotary Club of Naperville-Sunrise, President of Naperville MLS, DuPage Board of Realtors and was a trustee of LaGrange Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing bridge, games with his children and grandchildren, was an amateur photographer, and, with his family, an avid fisherman. Jim is survived by his wife Valerie Uebele Dudley, children Michael (Mary Kay) Dudley, Kenneth (JoAnn) Dudley, Lisa (Mark) Cooper and Lynn (James) Yarbrough. His grandchildren Stephen, Elizabeth, James, Katherine, Jack, Tristan, Brenna, Hallie, Sara, Wendee, and Kyle. His great-grandchildren Cooper and Leium Wiese and Ally and Jaydn Smith. His sister Nancy (Darrell) Burgess and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ann Dudley, sisters Pat Stenger, Joanne Branz and brother in law Dick Branz. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 9:00 am – until the time of service 11:00 am at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 East Gartner Rd. Naperville. Interment Naperville Cemetery.
