Chicago man charged with beating woman 66 on CTA Green Line – NBC Chicago
A Chicago man was charged with four crimes in connection with an incident in which police said he beat a 66-year-old woman at a CTA Green Line station.
Gary Coleman, 32, was arrested on four counts: grievous bodily harm, serious battery in a public place, serious battery with a victim of at least 60 years of age, and heavy battery from a road worker.
According to police, Coleman was identified as the man who hit a woman multiple times in the face at around 7 p.m. on Friday at the CTA Green Line station in Block 0-100 of West Cermak.
As a result of the attack, the woman fell on CTA train tracks, the authorities said. She was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in an unknown condition.
