Bruce Bristow Obituary (1946 – 2022) – Aurora, IL

Bruce A. Bristow, 76, of West Chicago, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. He was born April 9, 1946 in Chicago. On June 19, 1982 he married Carol and together raised two children.
Bruce was an electrician for IBEW Local 701 for over 40 years and a member of St. Michael Church in Aurora. He served our country in the Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His passion was rebuilding cars and any type of construction project. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting the Ho Chunk Casino in Wisconsin.
Bruce was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Carol; two children, Aaron and Stephanie (Danny); two grandchildren, Brayden and Leigha; sisters, Janet and Beverly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Addison and Lorene (Winchester) Bristow; and two brothers, Manning and Ronald.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July18, 2022 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORUARY to St. Michael Romanian Byzantine Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, Fr. Remus Orian will officiate with interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, IL 60506. 630-631-5500. Please visit our website at www.daleidenmortuary.com where you may sign the virtual guest book or leave condolences online for Bruce’s family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s name to St. Michael Church, 609 N. Lincoln Avenue, Aurora, Il. 60505 or Seasons (Accentcare) Hospice, 2195 W. Diehl Road, Naperville, IL. 60563.
