Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar has led the cities and towns in Cook County’s 16th district to receive a large inflow of funds for infrastructure projects.
Although Commissioner Aguilar has only been in office since April 2020, he experienced the moment of a one-off pandemic to ensure that our roommates are protected from COVID-19 in the present, while also helping city officials raise the money that is needed to improve their communities in the future.
The “Invest in Cook” funding program distributed just under 8.5 million US dollars to 61 projects in Cook County. The communities represented by Commissioner Aguilar received most of this funding, totaling over US $ 1.6 million.
According to the program description of “Invest in Cook” “[these] Grants help communities advance their transport projects by covering the costs of planning, construction, rights of way and construction related to transport improvements sponsored by local governments and private partners. “
Commissioner Aguilar has been instrumental in connecting District 16 townships and cities with the information and resources needed to secure funding from the Invest in Cook grant program.
These projects support and improve the community in which they are located, connect with Cook County as a whole, and bring cohesive and substantial infrastructure investments to each community and community represented by Commissioner Aguilar.
Conscious efforts are made to ensure that this infrastructure is useful for the 16th century communities.
The coordinated efforts between Commissioner Aguilar and the local communities to secure this infrastructure funding will make it easier for people to get back into the community easily without leaving anyone behind.
