Age 91 of Green Bay, passed away on July 22, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1930, to Ernest and Elva Tait in Evanston, Illinois. She lived in Evanston and Skokie, Illinois before moving to Green Bay to be near her daughter 18 years ago and loved living here. She then worked various jobs, including many years at Rand McNally in the travel research department, and Standard Rate and Data as an office manager.
In 1973 she married John “Jack” B. Nixon. They spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2000. Her years with Jack were spent traveling and exploring her Irish roots. She dearly loved visiting lighthouses and historical places. Her love of books took her around the world when she could no longer travel. She was adored by her grandchildren and was generous to a fault, always looking forward to their visits, ready with sound advice, intelligent conversation, and a quick wit. Holiday celebrations were especially treasured for her famous Christmas cookies and special dishes. Ginny was an amazing wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and wonderful friend to all who knew her. Every time we see a cardinal, we will remember her.
