Batavia comedy
Actor and comedian Brian Posehn performs at 7:30 pm Feb. 2 and 7 and 9:30 pm Feb. 3-4 at the Comedy Vault in Batavia. Tickets are $30. At 18 E. Wilson St. 630-454-4174; comedyvaultbatavia.com.
Posehn has recorded two half-hour specials for Comedy Central, four comedy albums and three hourlong specials. He’s acted in “The Mandalorian,” “Lady Dynamite,” “You’re the Worst,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “New Girl.” The show is 21-and-over and there is a two-drink minimum.
Improv comedy night
First Fridays Improv with GreenRoom Productions is at 8 pm Feb 3 at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin. Tickets are $14-$18. At 45 Symphony Way. 847-931-5900; cityofelgin.org.

beer tight

Tickets include appetizers, more than 30 breweries, a commemorative glass, beer-themed games, live music and finally, a screening of the Chris Farley-David Spade film, “Tommy Boy.”
Wine time
