Resident reports unknown person forged check for over $22,000 – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from Northbrook Police Department reports, news releases and records. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

DUI

Christy Rivera of Northbrook was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage July 15. While investigating a crash in the 800 block of Midway Road, police observed Rivera crashed into several parked vehicles. She failed a field sobriety test. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County Court Aug. 4 in Skokie.

Mary Elizabeth Reckamp of Northbrook was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 19. While investigating an automobile crash with injuries in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road, police determined Reckamp was under the influence of alcohol. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County Court Aug. 17 in Skokie

INVALID LICENSE

Jilson Sanal of Glenview was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding July 20. After stopping Sanal for speeding, police learned his license was suspended. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Aug. 4 in Skokie.

THEFT

A person reported an unknown individual entered their unlocked vehicle in the 3000 block of Dundee Road and took cash from an envelope inside the vehicle July 16.

A person reported an unknown individual stole the catalytic converter from the person’s vehicle while it was parked in the 2800 block of Dundee Road July 17.

FORGERY

A person reported an unknown individual forged a check in the amount of $22,210.36 which was different from the person’s real checks July 15. The person also did not recognize the person’s name.
