Pick pocket theft reported in Evanston store; police

The following items were taken from the Evanston Police Department bulletin. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Armed Robbery

There was an armed robbery in the 1100 block of Chicago Ave. on July 16 in which the victim was battered and threatened with a gun by unknown subjects. The suspects took the victim’s duffle bag and fled.

Vehicle Theft

A 2020 Audi was stolen from the 2400 block of Thayer St. it was reported on July 15.

Theft Over $500

A secured Trek bicycle was stolen from the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue on July 21. Amount of loss exceeds $500.

Various merchandise was taken from a pharmacy at the 2100 block of Green Bay Rd. on July 19. Amount of loss exceeds $500.

A phone was stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Main St. on July 17. Amount of loss exceeds $500.

Shots Fired

There was a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue on July 20 but responding officers did not find anything.

There was a report of shots fired in the 1600 block of Grove St. on July 17 but responding officers did not find anything.

batteries

Labossiere J. LaForest, 42, of the 10500 block of West Touhy Ave. in Rosemont, was charged with battery in the 400 block of Asbury Ave. onJuly 21.

Tychia L. Davis, 38, of the 1000 block of Chicago Ave., was charged with battery in the 800 block of Main St. on July 17.

Pick Pocket Theft

Credit cards, debit cards and money were stolen from a customer by a pick pocket thief in a store at the 1200 block of Chicago Ave. onJuly 19.

Burglary

Hara L. Scalin, 49 and homeless, was charged with burglary in the 1900 block of Howard St. on July 20.

Aggravated Assault

Boney L. Bell, 69, of the 2400 block of Lake St., was charged with aggravated assault in the 2400 block of Lake St. on July 15.

Attempted Robbery

Christopher J. Carmichael, 25, of the North 27th St. in Milwaukee, was charged with attempted robbery at the 1400 block of Chicago Ave. OnJuly 15.

Domestic Battery

Jeremy Williams, 26, of the 100 block of Clyde Ave., was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of Clyde Ave. onJuly 16.

Criminal Damage to a Vehicle

Tiffany Williams-Cobleigh, 35, of the 2200 block of Central St., was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle at Dodge Ave. and Emerson St. on July 16.
