Foxx and Lightfoot meet to discuss differences, both saying they are determined to reduce crime – CBS Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) – The very public argument between Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Cook County Attorney Kim Foxx appears to be over.
It all started when the mayor questioned Foxx’s decision not to prosecute in a fatal shootout in South Austin.
Foxx then criticized the mayor at a press conference. On Friday, the mayor’s office said the two sides had met and had a productive meeting.
Both Lightfoot and Foxx released statements pledging to work together to reduce crime in the city.
