Flooding Remains A Threat In Forest River, Residents Downstream Concerned Over Prospect Heights Project

During its existence, the Forest River subdivision has suffered significant flooding from the Des Plaines River. According to the Forest River Civic Association, every flood has resulted in little to no effort by local townships, Cook County and the state to find a permanent solution.
