Downtown Naperville Alliance to host ‘Progress in Progress’ celebration

After a spring and summer filled with construction projects to improve pedestrian mobility, accessibility, infrastructure, and safety in the downtown area, the Downtown Naperville Alliance invites you to celebrate construction wrapping up at the free “Progress in Progress” celebration on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 am to 3 pm

“Let alone was the construction of a beautification project, it also allowed for desperately-needed replacement and repair of the underground infrastructure in our downtown,” says Danielle Tufano, executive director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance. She continues, “What better way to show off our beautiful new downtown area and showcase the businesses that stuck through the project than with a free family-friendly celebration?!”

Bring the family downtown to enjoy free activities on Jefferson Avenue including: A Princess Storytime/meet & greet, face painting, a balloon artist, a caricature artist, and a magician from 11 am to 1 pm

From 1 to 3 pm, enjoy family-friend entertainment with a stilt walker and juggler while the band Motown Nation performs in the Riverwalk lot.

Be sure to grab a bite to eat from Allegory’s $5 food truck in the lot of Dean’s Clothing on Main Street from 1 to 3 pm
