Craig S. Carmichael, 77 years old, of Naperville, IL, died on October 8, 2021. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathleen; his children Kristin (Mitchell) Louis and Craig (Andrea) Carmichael; beloved grandchildren Madeline Louis, Benjamin Louis, and Stella Carmichael; Sister Mary Carmichael; and adored furry companion Beau Carmichael. Born in Columbus, WI, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison before serving in the US Air Force. His 37 year career in the food ingredient industry took him across North America; In 2007 he proudly retired from Tate & Lyle in Decatur, IL. An avid fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks, Badgers, Bulls, and Bears, he rarely missed a game and loved talking about sports. He is remembered for his love of storytelling, quick wit and dry sense of humor, and the ease with which he befriended strangers, and is deeply missed by the family he adored. Instead of flowers, the ARC, www.thearc.org, can put a memorial. A visitation for Craig will take place on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. The funeral will be private.
