Cook County Clerk, Politicians To Host Oak Lawn Community Forum

OAK LAWN, IL — Local residents who have questions about how to make sure their belongings end up in the right hands if they pass away will be able to have access to experts on the topic at an upcoming community forum.

The Cook County Clerk’s Office, along with Illinois State Sen. Bill Cunningham, and Illinois State Rep. Kelly Burke (18th and 36th District) are sponsoring the forum for local residents. The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Oak Lawn Public Library, which is located at 9427 S. Raymond Ave.

The Property After Death forum will focus on allowing residents to make sure that their home, car, bank account, and other assets are properly distributed properly. Residents will be able to speak with licensed professionals on the subject and will also be able to learn how to protect their homes from property fraud.
