Chicago Bears rookie, McKinley grad Dominique Robinson ruled out with leg injury vs Browns

CLEVE-LAND − The Cleveland Browns’ preseason finale was a homecoming for Chicago Bears rookie Dominique Robinson, a Canton McKinley High School graduate. Unfortunately, his return was cut short.

Robinson suffered a leg injury in the second quarter and didn’t return. He was initially listed as questionable for a return and then later ruled out.

Before being injured, Robinson went against the Browns’ starting offensive line. At the edge spot, he went toe-to-toe against Cleveland left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. Robinson walked inside the locker room two minutes before halftime.

The 6-foot-5 Robinson was selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Miami University. Throughout camp, Robinson has been a trending name in Chicago. He has shown flashes in the first two preseason game despite little experience at playing defensive end. Robinson recorded his first sack in Chicago’s first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Robinson is listed third string behind Robert Quinn and Al-Quadin Muhammad.
