Chicago accident: teenage boy fatally hit by car at Cermak in Lawndale; Girls seriously injured too, says CPD
CHCIAGO (WLS) – The teen was identified after being hit by a car in a Lawndale accident that also seriously injured a 12-year-old girl.
The Cook County’s coroner’s office identified Kaidon Bell, 14, on Sunday morning as the boy who was killed in the Lawndale crash on Saturday night.
A 20-year-old man was driving a gray Dodge Charger west on the 4400 block of West Cermak Road when Bell and a 12-year-old girl ran into the street and were hit by the car around 7:30 p.m. to see the police.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene and the young girl was taken to the hospital on Mount Sinai with serious injuries.
The driver was reported for not reducing speed and not giving in to pedestrians, the police said. An investigation is ongoing.
