Brown County girls rally past Calhoun, and other scores for January 4

BROWN COUNTY 55, CALHOUN 47
Trailing 33-26 at the end of the third quarter, the Brown County girls’ basketball team outscored Calhoun 29-14 in the fourth for a big win at Hardin Wednesday night.
Both teams were undefeated in the Western Illinois Valley Conference play going into the contest.
Clear Flynn led the Hornets with 21 points. She scored 13 points in the fourth quarter. Katey Flynn added 16 points for Brown County.
Brown County outscored Calhoun 18-10 at the free throw lane. The Hornets made 10-of-15 free throws in the fourth quarter.
Audrey Gilman led Calhoun with 15 points. Haley Schnelten added 13.
