Betty Koenig Greenwald, nee Lipman, age 91, of Evanston, grew up in Kenosha, WI, beloved wife of the late Lowell Koenig and the late Dr. Bernard M Greenwald; loving mother of Sally (Michael Novitch) Koenig; cherished stepmother of Anne (Jeremy Bloch) Greenwald, Osher (Feliza) Greenwald, and Mitch (Amy) Greenwald; adored grandma of Emily, Eli, Jihelah, Naomi, Caitlin, Macabee, Emma Rose, Miles, and Lowell; proud great grandmother of Harrison; dear sister of Dr. Charles (Donna) Lipman; treasured aunt and beloved friend to many. Betty was known for her keen intelligence, beautiful smile, and true zest for life, be it her love and appreciation for nature, animals, travel, baking, the arts, skiing, and a collector of beautiful things. Her love of animals led her to several decades of volunteering at the Lincoln Park Zoo nursery. Your funeral service will be private.
