Seven unlocked vehicles burglarized in Lake Bluff – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

LAKE BLUFF

BURGLARY TO AUTO

Seven vehicles all believed to have been unlocked were reportedly entered June 20 in an area bordered by Green Bay Road, W. Center Avenue, W. Sheridan Place and Mawman Avenue. Items, including small amounts of money, telephone chargers and sunglasses were reported stolen from three of the vehicles, while the other four were entered but nothing was stolen.

BURGLARY

Two bicycles were reported stolen June 24 from an open garage at a residence in the 400 block of Green Bay Road. The bicycles were valued at $300 each.

A bicycle was reported stolen June 23 from the train depot in the 600 block of Sheridan Road. The bicycle was valued at $900.

LAKE FOREST

warrant arrest

Roberto Ayala, 34, of the 3300 block of N. Oakley Ave., Chicago, was arrested June 23 after being spotted in the 700 block of Westleigh Road. It was later discovered he had an outstanding Cook County warrant and he was transported to the Lake County jail, pending further transport to Cook County.

DUI

Michael Mucerino, 25, of the 500 block of King Muir Road, Lake Forest, was charged June 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and using a cellular telephone while driving after he was stopped near the intersection of King Muir Road and Burton Drive. He was released on bond and has a scheduled court date of August 6.
