Senior running back Drew Surges scored on a 2-yard run with 49 seconds left and then threw a two-point conversion pass to tight end Jake Furtney to lift St. Charles North to a 22-21 win against defending Class 7A state champion Wheaton North .

Jacobs senior cornerback Ashton Niehaus had eight tackles, including one for loss on fourth-and-2 to stop Prairie Ridge on its final possession and preserve a 42-35 victory.
