Feb 19 | Symphony of Oak Park & ​​River Forest Performs Rarely-Heard Masterpieces

The Symphony of Oak Park & ​​River Forest performs a program of rarely-heard gems on Sunday, February 19, 4 pm at Concordia University’s Chapel in River Forest. Soprano Nathalie Colas is featured in Ravel’s Shéhérazade. Violist Uli Widmaier is the soloist in Hindemith’s Freudenmusik and Vaughan Williams’s Suite for Viola and Small Orchestra. The program concludes with Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Symphony No. 5. Professor of Music and Associate Conductor Maurice Boyer leads the award-winning orchestra. A pre-concert lecture begins at 3 pm Tickets are $30 ($27 if ordered online by February 18), and students through college are admitted free of charge. To order tickets, visit SymphonyOPRF.org.
