All decorations, including tinsel and lights, should be removed before the tree is placed at the curb.

Broken or malfunctioning holiday lights can be dropped off for recycling through Feb. 1 at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.; Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive; Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road; Springbrook Golf Course golf shop, 2220 W. 83rd St.; and Naperbrook Golf Course golf ship, 22204 W. Hassert Blvd.

Lights can also be taken to the Electronics Recycling Center, 156 Fort Hill Drive, year round for recycling. The center is open from 7 am to 3 pm weekdays. Mini-lights, C7 and C9 lights and rope and LED lights as well as extension cords are accepted.

The League of Women Voters of Naperville will host a webinar about the future for young women at 7 pm Wednesday, Jan. 11, via Zoom.

The webinar, “Young Feminists Speak Up,” will explore the challenges women may face as they move into to higher education, careers and other activities, and participants can hear from young women planning their own futures. Among the topics to be discussed include work and life balance, how childcare options affect work and family balance options and what will the role of women be in elected office.

Questions that participants would like answered can be submitted by emailing [email protected]. “January Ideas Forum” should be included in the subject line.
