Broncs buck off the Wolverines in shutout

(Cody, WY) – The Riverton Wolverines were looking for a different result after their zero week loss to the Powell Panthers. RHS had quite the challenge, however, traveling back to Park County to face the defending 3A state champion Cody Broncs. An eager Cody crowd were on hand to support their #1 ranked Broncs and University of Wyoming football coach Craig Bohl paced the sidelines, keeping an eye on a few prospects.

It would be all Broncs from beginning to end. They’d notch 35 points in the first half and add two additional touchdowns in the second half, winning 49-0

Riverton tallied only 130 yards of total offense. 80 yards passing, and 53 rushing yards. . Cody put up over 500 yards of offense in their victory. One silver lining stat for the Wolverines defensively, which that they forced 3 interceptions.

Riverton starts the season with a record of 0-2 and will look to have a strong first home game of the season when they get a visit from the Evanston Red Devils this Friday. Action begins at 7 pm The contest can be heard on 105.1 Jack FM and streaming video on our County 10 YouTube and Facebook pages.
